Be a citizen scientist for a while! From the simple to the extreme

Salton-Sea-National-Wildlife-Refuge-Migratory-Bird-Day-Kyle-Christensen-Wildlands-Conservancy

Come and try different forms of participatory research, where you take part in producing scientific knowledge. This is called “citizen science” and anyone can do it and either help scientists addressing challenges in the world, or come up with their own projects.
During the event, which will be in English and in French, you will have an opportunity to experiment with different forms of citizen science. You’ll help scientists by classifying information about stars, check how dark are the skies, record how quiet or noisy is the neighbourhood, and learn about citizen science with indigenous groups in the Congo-basin forests, and how they are engaged in extreme citizen science.
