EQUcation – IGNITE the FUTURE of EQUITY IN EDUCATION

Participants will be immersed in stories about migrant children in rural areas of Shanghai; these are disadvantaged people in districts that are the most easily forgotten due to glorifying depictions of the metropolitan city’s beautiful skyline. Next, participants would learn more about how Martin Huang started as a volunteer, got inspired by the lovely kids he worked with, and became the founder of EQUcation. This process will engage participants in activities that help them actualize EQUcation’s goals that connect to SDG 4, as well as explaining the pragmatic efforts of how those goals will be fully achieved in the future. These activities will align with and explain EQUcation’s #IGNITE framework — giving participants a clearer picture on how EQUcation is different from other organizations.
