The annual Global Children’s Designathon (GCD), is dedicated to celebrating what the world could be like when children are put in charge of designing better futures. The GCD is also a call for changemakers and climate education on a global scale.

On 25th January, 2022, Designathon Works, together with our network partners and children from participating cities worldwide will unveil the GCD, 2022 edition, under the theme , Our Climate,Our Future. The launch of The Global Children’s 2022, will culminate in a panel discussion featuring child and youth speakers, climate activists and teachers along with a mini online designathon, as an interactive immersive experience of the designathon method.

Children and workshop participants will simultaneously develop their own ideas towards climate action. At the end of the mini designathon we will officially unveil the theme and participating cities as well as partners of the GCD 2022.

This Global Children’s Designathon session will take place in parallel with children from partner cities from countries around the world, who will have contact with each other through a live connection, uniting in their battle against the problems the world is facing.
