This event will introduce the approach and share the key lessons learned of One Resilient Earth to the Climate Circles, which provide a safe space to talk about impacts of climate change on one’s emotional daily life.

How can we learn from each other, take care of each other and transform together through open-sharing and deep-listening circles focusing on emotions, feelings and breakthroughs related to climate change?

Since July 2020, One Resilient Earth has been hosting weekly to bi-weekly Climate Workers Circles, and launched a weekly Youth Climate Circle in November 2021. Those online circles are open to all inviduals who are studying or working on climate change directly or indirectly, in any sector, worldwide. They provide a safe space to talk openly about the impacts of climate change on one’s emotional and daily life. Stories can be told through spoken words, images or music. The circles also provide an opportunity to hear stories that highlight the various impacts that this crisis is having on different individuals, and the multitude of personal strategies to respond to it. By welcoming all emotions without judgement, they open new perspectives on how to respond to the crisis at individual and collective levels.

This event will introduce the approach of One Resilient Earth to the Climate Circles, and some of the key lessons learned after 18 months of running them. The event will also provide an opportunity for participants to participate in a Climate Circle and reflect on this experience with the group.
