The powerful aim of the Learning Planet Festival is to contribute to shaping healthy planetary
futures. But who is this future for? How can education ensure the futures we are collectively
creating foreground the needs of young people who are most marginalized in
environmental conversations, decisions, and policies?
If you are a youth activist, teacher, researcher, community member, policy maker, or education
practitioner broadly speaking – and especially if you are a member of a systematically
marginalized group – we welcome you to co-create environmental justice curriculum with us in
this interactive workshop.*
Environmental justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless
of race, color, ability, gender, national origin, or income with respect to the development and
implementation of environmental policies, including in education. In this session, we will focus
