André Castro Santos

Professor, lawyer and geographer, Master in Environmental Law from the University of São Paulo (USP) and PhD candidate in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies from the University of Lisbon and in Environmental Law from USP. He is a researcher of the Research Group on Environmental Law, Economics and Sustainability (GPDAES-USP) and the Research Group on Environment, Territory and Society (GIATS-Ulisboa). He was a researcher of the Center for Human Rights and Business (CDHE) and the Center for Applied Legal Research (CPJA) of the São Paulo School of Law of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). He was part of the Brazilian delegation to the Conferences of the Parties (COP) of the UNFCCC in 2015, 2019 and 2021. He is a member of the Latin American Climate Lawyers Initiative for Mobilizing Action (LACLIMA) and the Youth Climate Leaders (YCL), where he leads the YCL Schools project.
