Andrea Green

Andrea Green is an Emmy award winning composer, playwright, director, educator and music therapist who creates inclusive musicals and songs for children.
Her music brings youngsters together with empathy, understanding and respect. Her work is produced by theater and school groups throughout the United States and as far away as Uganda, Estonia and St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Andrea is the 2019 recipient of the ‘Teacher as Hero’ Grand Prize Award from the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, Pa. and was honored with a Proclamation from the City of Philadelphia, recognizing her tolerance teaching work in the Philadelphia schools. She is the subject of the
Emmy-award winning documentary, On the Other Side of the Fence. ‘On the Other Side of the Fence’, also received a humanitarian award from the United Nations and numerous other film awards.
Andrea Green’s musicals (On the Other Side of the Fence, The Rainbow Sea, People of the Light, The Same Sky, Homeroom, The Return of Halley’s Comet, The Mulberry Bird, Same City, People of the Light, Skimmer and Budge) are published by Concorde Theatrical Publishing and Andrea Green Music and have been performed in schools and theaters around the world, including in Estonia, St. John USVI, Canada, and throughout the U.S.
Her extensive catalogue of songs for children, are published by and available from Andrea Green Music.
Andrea is a consultant to schools, organizations and businesses, creating and directing music projects to help their mission to foster inclusion, empathy, self-esteem, acceptance and respect between people.
Andrea has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida and a Master’s in Creative Arts in Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa.. She serves on the board of Pickleberry Pie, a national organization devoted to bringing music to hospitalized children.
