Ilse obtained a Master’s degree in Communication Science at KU Leuven (University of Leuven) in Belgium. Currently, Ilse is a PhD researcher at the School for Mass Communication Research at KU Leuven. Her research focuses on the role of (social) media and adolescents’ vocational beliefs.
Last academic year, she was enrolled in the Transdisciplinary Insights Honours Programme (TDI) at KU Leuven, in which teams of students work on a wicked problem. In this programme, they developed a game “flipper the system” which aims to learn about systems thinking and transdisciplinarity. Togehter with Raad Sharar and Dominique Troost, she will present the game at the festival.
