Jackson Byiringiro is a refugee in Rwanda from Democratic Republic of Congo since 2012. He is currently working as a College Refugee Guidance Counselor in Kepler Kigali. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management with a concentration in Logistics and Operations from Southern New Hampshire University and currently an MBA candidate in Project Management. He served as a refugee student representative when he was a student in Kepler Kigali. Jackson is a skilled and certified Project manager by a UNHCR learning Platform Disaster ready, and Holds a certificate of Leading for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Higher education from University of Michigan, Certified specialist in diversity and inclusion in the workplace by ESSEC Business School. Jackson is passionate about refugee education and spent most of his career working in refugee education, Jackson is aspiring for refugee and forced Migration studies to keep serving refugees even in a more comprehensive and highly inclusive way. His biggest belief is that we rise by rising others, which pushes him to even do better and more for the refugee communities. Jackson believes that Security is not enough for refugees, they should be given a chance to live an inclusive life which Gives them access to Education to the level they please, chances to make choices to be integrated into their communities of Asylum, to get a chance to different economic activities which helps them to be self-reliant.
