Lawrence Houldsworth

Lawrence is a former teacher of mathematics who has been with the Global Teaching InSights team for three years now. Th Global Teaching InSights (GTI) initiative aims to use video to advance research on how teaching varies across countries and what practices are most effective for raising student outcomes, and to develop an online library to enable teachers to learn and share with their peers from across the globe. Lawrence has overseen the development of the GTI’s collection of pedagogical videos and its engagement work with teachers. Prior to joining the GTI team, Lawrence worked in two different schools in the United Kingdom where he worked closely on curriculum development and resources. He holds a Masters from Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he was a Kennedy Memorial Scholar, and a BA in History from the University of Oxford, where he is also currently completing his DPhil in Education.
