After six months of buzzing activity and exploring new dreams, the World Expo Dubai 2020 has now closed its doors, leaving in-person and digital participants a long-lasting impression. Despite a one-year wait due to the COVID-19 health crisis, The France Pavilion dazzled with its theme of “France, Lightspeed Inspiration,” illustrating the wide range of its savoir-faire, the diversity of its artistic and cultural capital as well as its capacity for innovation in terms of ecology, mobility, and new technologies.
Some key figures
2.2 million visitors
440 international delegations and 110 French delegations
250 BSB events that hosted 13,000 corporate visitors
The France Pavilion hosted, within its permanent exhibition partly dedicated to the “Galaxy of tomorrow’s world”, Planet Education, designed in partnership with the Learning Planet Institute and the Foundation Antoine de Saint Exupéry for Youth (FASEJ). Planet Education was an immersive experience featuring the Little Prince as your guide, and his friend WeLearn, an Artificial Intelligence developed by the LPI. During this imaginary and poetic journey, you can discover countless connections between disciplines, such as arts, sciences and technology, as well as cultures. This unique experience was also an opportunity to open up vast horizons for the future of education, as The Little Prince has a knack for asking questions that leave a lasting impression!
While the Little Prince has left the World Expo now, the long-term partnership between #LearningPlanet and FASEJ continues to grow. Watch this space, as soon he will be back in the form of an exciting writing contest!
Special thanks to the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation, University of Paris, the City of Paris and the Foundation Antoine de Saint Exupéry for Youth.
